Looking for a fantastic beach? Coronado beach is a hidden gem in the shadows of San Diego. This beach is located on Coronado Island west of downtown San Diego. The main way to find this beach is to cross the Coronado island bridge south of the downtown area. Crossing over the bay, the bridge rises several hundred feet into the air to allow huge ships to cross under. Upon arriving onto the island, you will be taking a left which is south on Orange Ave. Orange ave. is the main street that takes you south to Coronado beach. The beach stretches from the naval base to the Hotel Del Coronado. Setting your gps for that hotel will allow you to see the beach right before you turn into the hotel.
